Dane Lindley original art work
Ref #: LE22
Description:
Dane Lindley has been painting portraits since he was a little boy. As a young man, Dane went to Hollywood and worked as a commerical artist. One of his commissioned pieces was a James Dean movie poster. While there, he also painted portraits of many of the movie stars. Dane has also painted a portrait of a former Illinois governor and portraits for several business executives. I met Dane about three years ago and had him paint Lincoln. The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library owns two of his paintings. Many of my Lincoln collector friends own paintings done by Dane. Pictured is Harold Holzer holding his Cooper Union pose painted by Dane. That is me with Mr. Holzer, not Dane. Recently, Dane has completed two different portraits of John Wilkes Booth, Tad Lincoln, Mary Lincoln, George Armstrong Custer, Lincoln standing on the rear platform of a train, and Lincoln as a young railsplitter in New Salem, plus many different Lincoln portraits. In the near future, Dane hopes to make available signed and numbered prints of some of his painting.
Dane would love to paint a portrait for you. Dane's portraits are very affordable. For between $350-450 you can commission a painting of Lincoln or anyone else. He can work from a clear photograph or picture. Since Dane is a friend, I receive NO commission for any work sold. If you care to see more of Dane's painting, let me know and I'll email them to you.
Price: $350-400
